Errr.. October?

I knoooow everyone says it like, every month, but SERIOUSLY!!! Where did september go?? Are we REALLY in October already? At the end of September all the Autmn posts came piling in from bloggers all over, welcoming the colder weather and piling on the layers. Whilst I happily kept my strappy tops on, refused to pack away my summer wardrobe and insisted on flip flops still.

WELL. Not any more!! BRING ON THE AUTUMN!! Yes, of course i love the summer, it's my favourite season! But nothing says "family time" quite like cold winter evenings snuggled on the sofa in your jammies and slippers, halloween, bonfire night and the countdown to the big C!

I adore hearty grub, proper home cooked hot food with stacks of gravy. I adore wrapping the kids up in coats and i ADORE the outdoors at this time of year. Some of my most favourite pictures of the boys were taken in October and November and i'm excited to add in one more to the equation and buy girly winter things!!

Charlie mentioned in her Autmunal post about the feel good factor of wrapping up your baby. I always find that i am constantly monitoring whether they have the right amount of layers on. At least with autumn/winter you can be rest assured that too many clothes is actually okay!!

Check out that teeny weeny E bump !!

So that is that, i am embracing the cooler weather. I have my wellies out, i have my coat to hand and i have some funky autumn crafts to do (That i will never actually get round to doing). I'm mega excited for our new family tradition to take place for a 2nd year in a row at Mum's for bonfire night! Bring it oooon!!

Must-have outfits we really must have this season.

I am absolutely loving chinos on the boys at the moment. So cool, and so warm too! Sainsburys are doing them for £7 a pair and with an elasticated waist you can't go wrong!
This knitted jumper is £14 and i LOVE it! It just screams Autumn and looks great with a shirt or t-shirt underneath.

For Elsie i am after some jumper dresses with tights. We have a lot of leggings and long sleeved tops but tights seem that bit warmer and cosier and socks never stay on our little wriggle bum anyway!!

This is from JoJo Maman Bébé, i love the paisley print and the fact its cord makes it even better.
Teamed with a pair of plain navy tights its perfect for the winter! £18 but totally worth it for the cute factor.

(Note: There are no adult clothes because i never bother. I have no nice winter clothes and much prefer spending my money on the kids looking good, they can settle for a scummy mummy ;) )

Oh and just for the hell of it.. a few more of last years photos!
