"does it really matter?"

That question goes over a lot in my head. And even more recently, Harvey has started asking it too.

9 times out of 10 the answer is no, it really doesn't matter. Because, in the grand scheme of things, it doesn't matter.

Does it really matter if we walk into school just as the bell goes?
Does it really matter if one of the kids spill their drinks on the table?
Does it really matter if the dog gets footprints on the kitchen floor?
Does it really matter if we forget to read a book before bed?
Does it really matter if we get messy when eating dinner?
Does it really matter if somebody makes a spelling mistake?
Does it really matter if the kids are in bed 10 minutes past "normal" time? Or if they wake up 10 minutes "early"?

No. It really doesn't. And people, including myself, need to remember this.

Why fret over stuff that doesn't matter? I feel like i need to take a more laid back approach to day-day life and its happenings. To remember that there are far more important things to worry about and matter about than tiny misshaps or little mistakes.

Do you worry about silly stuff that doesn't really matter?

You may well be featured this weekend, so join in the fun!!

Hey.... i appear to have a new facebook page for photography!! Make me a happy lady and head over and say hey!! I've only just set it up and i haven't got many pictures on there yet, but there will be stacks of updating over the next few weeks so stay tuned!! I always appreciate feedback too so please please tell me your thoughts!

  1. I'm headed over to your new facebook page! ;-)

  2. I totally agree with you! We need to be ok that mistakes happen. It is one of my biggest flaws.
It was my Resolution in Motion post for six weeks to be OK with letting Reagan be a kid and letting the rest of it go.

I know the UK doesn't celebrate Thanksgiving but I am still grateful for having made so many fun blogging buddies!

PS ~ SUPER excited that you are hosting Sunday with us at Raising Imperfection!
